My good friend Ricardo González (Delonelyman) just posted a new song called "20 Years Alone", and it just blew my head clean off.
Do yourselves a favor and listen to it!! All of his songs are quite haunting and beautiful, but I feel he has created something very, very special with this song.
It's got sort of that Days of the New/Opeth vibe I love so much...and I know you do too... ;-)

Ho. Ly. Crap, Dear Listener...
I just listened to Zack de la Rocha (from the mighty Rage Against the Machine) and John Theodore's (ex-drummer of The Mars Volta) new CD, "One Day as a Lion".
Taken from their Myspace page , “The name taken from the infamous 1970 black and white, captured by legendary Chicano photographer George Rodriguez featuring a center framed tag on a white wall in an unspecified section of Boyle Heights. It reads: ‘It’s better to live one day as a lion, than a thousand years as a lamb.’ This record is a stripped down attempt to realize this sentiment in sound.”
All I know is this cd just knocked me on my ass. Check it out. This is even better than Rage Against the Machine.

What's up, Dear Listener?? Awesome to have you here as always...
Just downloaded the new Nine Inch Nails cd "The Slip" yesterday (get it - it's free at their site ) and I highly recommend it to you...I listened to it on my Insignia player last night at like midnight and felt like I was tripping balls from the sounds.
Been watching some stuff on Youtube about the forthcoming Metallica cd, Death Magnetic and some of it sounds freakin great. I really hope this one puts them back on the map. They don't get the respect they deserve lately, which is understandable and really a shame......everything they did before Load was timeless (and peerless ).
I'm anxiously awaiting the delivery of Toontrack Superior 2.0 here tomorrow! I've been digging EZDrummer and the demos of Superior are in another league entirely...awesome times...fun as hell...(Update - blown away. Love it - and EZPlayer Pro is killer too)
Stay tuned for some cool news in the next couple of weeks ...I don't wanna say anything yet, because I have a bad habit of jynxing myself when I do that...
Thanks to everyone who bought my new cd "Dreadnought" so far at iTunes. It means a lot to me. (Oh yeah, there's also a new review up at Antimusic by the great Mark Hensch...thanks Mark!)
